I made these last week.
I changed the recipe a bit - I used 1/2 c margarine and 1/2 c applesauce instead of all marg.
I also used half brown and half white for the sugar and actually used a tiny bit less.
They turned out pretty good - they don't get very brown - they are very cake-like and not crunchy cookie-like. Almost a muffin-cookie :)
As you can see it made a LOT - I started out making them normal size then they got bigger.
Most will go into the freezer individually wrapped for kiddo's lunches.
