So I am still down 10lbs, I slipped off the wagon a bit last weekend. Back on now and feeling better.
I was feeling really crappy while I was... well eating crappy! But the more crap I had, the more I wanted! Vicious vicious cycle!
So today I had a 3 egg omelet with mushrooms & purslane in it for breakfast. Forgot to take pic - sorry.
I wrote about Purslane in a previous post. It has the highest amount of omega 3 fat than any other plant! Omega 3 fats fight heart disease & lower blood pressure - yes I WILL be eating weeds from my garden!
(they are growing better then the veggies!)
Then I had a handful of strawberries at around 11am.
Lunch was at about 1:30pm, and consisted of 2 pepperettes, 2 pickled eggs, baby belle cheese & cucumber slices.
And finally dinner was homemade hot wings (10 halves), 1/2 an avocado & a salad made up of red leaf lettuce from the garden, more Purslane, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes from the garden, mushrooms, roasted red peppers & feta cheese. Dressed with olive oil & red wine vinegar.
It was nummy & filling. Hubs finished the 4 wings I couldn't.
Now if only I could gt hubs to stop eating an entire baguette with dinner...

Winners find
I found these book boxes at Winners. I paid $21 for all 3 of them. I absolutely love them. Not sure what I will put in them yet though.
Operation Deep Clean Completed
So it took me three days, but it is finally finished.
I just have a small pile of homeless items that I must find homes for, then the room will be completely cleaned! Let's hope it stays that way for awhile.
Pc of MDF I bought to put on top of my table to enlarge craft space to 3'x6'
All loaded up with my craft stuff again
1st half of my desk cleaned up
2nd half of my desk cleaned
Sewing area all nice & clean, however, my cutting
table is also my craft table, so no sewing for a while
Dresser area - used MDF cutoffs, not pretty but functional
I'm undecided about the bottom pc of MDF, since it is smaller than
the dresser, I may just remove it, but it does extend my craft work area a bit

Brave or stupid, you be the judge
UPDATED to add photo at bottom of post, I missed the before shot for the dresser zone.
Ok so I am going to show you pics of the disaster that is my office/sewing/craft room. It is not always like this, but I have lately just been pulling stuff out and now putting anything back.
Trying to sew, art & work in this area is not easy when there is this much mess.
I want to make my craft table area bigger by putting a pc of MDF board on top of the table, but to do that, I have to move and then organize everything off the table top - this is what started the room deep clean & overhaul.
I hope to have it finished this weekend, it is a long weekend here for Canada Day tomorrow, so I'll keep my fingers crossed thast I can get it done.
That way in 2 wks, when my contract is finshed, I can easily art in here :)
And that is my mess, and I should have been cleaning instead of posting this, but I like procrastinating, I really do :)
I hope to have after pictures up very SOON! (relative term)

The view from the door (that's a dog bone on floor)
Desk area, dog bed & sewing table, partially finished quilt on design wall
Craft area
Between craft area & desk area (laptop is on basket
because fan stand broke & it tends to overheat)
I need to get swivel stand so I can spin laptop around and view
it while crafting, anyone know of one of those?
Lil table next to desk, more supplies that need to find homes
Desk area mess, paper recycling under desk that never
seems to make it to recycling bin
Sewing table, school uniform pants that need hemming
(yes I know school is out, so I'm slow, sue me :P)
(bought those book boxes @Winners & haven't decided
where to put them, they are beautiful-will post separately about them)
Growing piles, if it doesn't topple, it is fine :)
Craft area-lil drawers still empty
Desk & craft area overlap (peanut butter jar holds gesso)
Mason jars used to hold up shelves
Dresser area clutter
And that is my mess, and I should have been cleaning instead of posting this, but I like procrastinating, I really do :)

Next Mini Album Project
I have recently been introduced online to the scrapbook artist Kathy Orta. She is known online as PaperPhenomenon.
She creates amazing patterns for all sorts of things. I am working on her All Occassions Mini Album.
This is the Youtube video of what I am making, but using different papers then she did.
So far I only have these 2 pages complete.
Back og pg 1
Front of pg 2
Inside of pg 2
Back of pg 2
There are 6 more pages plus the cover I have to make, then I have to make all the tags and photo matts, then add photos & embellishments.

This may end up being a gift, depends on how well it turns out.

Mini Album for a Friend
I made this mini scrapbook album for a friend who recently had surgery.
It is the 1st chipboard mini I've made, it wasn't too difficult. The photos inside are of her dogs, Lia & Luigi.
The photos show the front of the page and then the back, before the pages where put together.
Unfortunetly, I forogt to take a picture when it was comnpletely finished :(
But she loved it :)
