Hi remember me?

I have been a slacker and haven't posted in forever - please forgive me.

Not a lot to tell you, not much happening.

Had a craft show, my 3rd, on Sunday Nov 4th. I sold 6 things, made $36, but the table cost $25, so I cleared $11 - woo hoo!

I had an interview a couple weeks ago - haven't heard anything from them yet, it is for a bank - they are almost as bad as the gov't with rushing things (insert sarcasm here).

I lost my art mojo for awhile. I hope to get it back soon.

Hubs & kid are going hunting tomorrow afternoon til Sunday - that means me & the dogs will be home alone! ART time - I hope. I have a ton of things I could work on or do.

Below are LOTS of photos of two mini albums with quotes I made recently - one for my friend Annette, the other for the craft sale. My sister H ended up buying it for a friend.

Each tag & insert has a quote or two. I didn't get pics of all the ones in H's mini though.

A Watercolour Painting

While watching my online friend Dede (Inkwell) stream a drawing/painting of a faery and butterfly yesterday, I was inspired to once again pull out my watercolours and attempt a painting.

I started with this Linda Ravenscroft 2008 calendar that I kept because I like the images.

It actually came together faster than I imagined it would. I got to this point before going to bed at midnight last night.

Then by about noon today.

And then finished it off today by 3pm.

Secret Project REVEAL!!!!!

I started making this 10 days ago. Not too bad for a newbie.
I have a lot of online art friends who stream on Ustream - they do live art classes of various sorts.

Well  a week and a half ago, I watched a friend PSandi (her twitter nick) make some mini ablums.
You can see her make these minis here. I used her pattern and made some a tad smaller.

I little while before that I watched MusicScrp (Jean) create a chipboard armiore to hold cards, envelopes & and an address book. You can see her armoire here.

So inspired by both these creative woman, I decided to make a 5 drawer vanity for my mother in-law. She has 5 grandchildren, so each drawer will hold a mini album with photos of a grandchild.

It is created with chipboard, cardstock, craft paint (crackled with white glue), designer scrapbook paper, buttons & a picture frame. The chair started as a coke can, added batting to top and sides, wet same designer paper to use as fabric skirt, back is wire coat hanger & soft wire.

This will be a Christmas gift - I just had no idea how long it would take me, so I started early :P

I still have to collect pics of all the kids and add them to the minis.

And now the photos of my vanity! TA DA!

Grungy Gretchen Flip-Thru

This is a flip-through of a recently completed journal of mine. I call it GG (grungy Gretchen), it is so far from my usual style but I enjoy...
